Trying out a K-Glow facial at Gurugram’s latest Korean clinic

Korean glass skin right now is the most coveted internet trend and when KorinMi, India’s first professional Korean clinic opened shop in the city, we made a beeline to them to test out their services. KorinMi specialises in high-tech treatments which are tailored for Indian skin types.

As soon as I entered into the clinic, I was ushered into the analysis room, where I placed my face in a machine that took some quick scans of my profile. The doctor then analysed the results, and suggested the treatments that would work best on me.

Post analysis, the doctor suggested the proportions of various serums that would be used during my treatment. Since I was soon to be a wedding guest attendee, she suggested a K-glow facial, and a treatment specifically meant for pigmentation. While I hadn’t noticed my family heritage – freckles – appear yet on my face, the machine had detected sun spots lurking just below my epidermis.

The Treatment

The room was like any other upscale spa treatment room in Delhi. A beige coloured spa bed with a cute pink outfit laid on top of it welcomed me once I was inside. The doctor had already determined what was to be used for my treatment by the masseuse and came into the room to check my comfort level. The masseuse cleaned my face, applied a particular product to remove excess oil from my face, and then dived into my ten-step long treatment. It felt relaxing, just like any day at the spa is supposed to feel. The masseuse explained all the applications before she applied it to my face. KorinMi uses everything that has been prepared inhouse, using their patented technologies. The benefits of each step, whether the AAA Hydroxy serum or the massage cream was customised basis my skin type and presented to me.

Post-treatment

After the treatment, I was shocked to find my face the most hydrated and glowy that it has been in a while. While this was done for a review I was invited for, I do plan to go there more regularly as a customer, especially for facials. Other more intensive skin treatments are also available on offer, after a thorough checkup by a doctor. Overall, the scientific approach to skin treatments pleased me immensely, and added to the efficiency in the facials results.
