A lavish holiday home surrounded by lush greenery and serene landscapes is perhaps the best way to describe Beyond Designs’ latest project. Tucked away in the middle of six acres of greenery, this lavish holiday home combines the best of modern design with traditional and classical elements for a charming escape in Jaipur.
Sachin & Neha Gupta – Beyond Designs
Beyond Designs is known for its maximalist design. And so, keeping in line with the brand’s signature styles, designers Sachin and Neha Gupta preserve the traditional bones of the home melding it with rich, contemporary and classic interiors. A clean, neutral backdrop provides a minimalist canvas which is then dramatized with bold elements, popping prints and vibrant colours.

True to their style, the designers create a refreshing and uplifting symphony of diverse styles and idioms of design at the outset itself. They mix materials, textures and finishes audaciously. From a range of wood tones from nude to rich, distressed paint to sophisticated hues, sparkling crystal to gleaming brass, an array of stones to disparate textiles, a rich composition is on display. The vast selection of materials fashioned to add immense interest to the interiors takes the eye from one feature to the other. Earthy notes set off opulent accents.

Matching the expanse of the surrounding landscapes, the home itself stretches across 22,000 sq. ft. divided into the main residence and an adjacent building housing other amenities. The main residence is spread across two stories, which includes seven en suite bedrooms and a powder room while the adjacent structure by the pool houses the bar and library.

Walking straight in, one is taken into the double-height living room which is airy, bright and colourful. The white walls and floors are complemented by two unique sets of printed couches on either side of the room along with eclectic elements like printed rugs, vibrant artworks and statement hanging lamps.

While the living room offers a warmer ambience, the dining room adjacent to the living room, takes on a cooler, slightly deeper tone. It’s hard to miss the stunning crystal and brass lights crown hanging above the dining table. Raw wooden panelling paired with deep blue walls adds depth to the space while the table showcasing intricate paisley inlay work takes centre stage.

The bedrooms are more contemporary in style, with two of the three bedrooms maintaining a muted palette with sombre tones. The first bedroom takes on a more muted vibe with greys, blues and white. The second gets a bright pop of colour with a sunny yellow wall. Preppy modern artworks, statement lamps and chic furniture tie up the rooms.

The third bedroom takes on a more dramatic vibe with darker tones and clashing prints tied up together beautifully. Instead of artworks, this room stages pieces like sculptures and wall decor for an artistic appeal.

As dramatic on the inside, as sober on the outside! The exteriors of this stunning holiday home see a more rustic, contemporary design with ample of wooden elements, carved pillars, sloped roofs and traditional shutters reminiscent of southern architecture. The brown elements are contrasted by deep grey elements like large stone sculptures and native pink stone pillars.

The second building featuring the bar and library takes on a whole different aesthetic. Deep red and blue tones, rich wooden elements and dramatic decor envelope the space transforming it into something completely different. The bar is the biggest highlight, the pièce de résistance where style and glamour are amplified. The dramatic red and white marble top bar table is a sight to see perfected by the statement pendant lights, and brown leather barstools.

A sitting area to the right of the bar is where all the light is kept. This section uses softer tones with a selection of bold prints and notable table pieces giving it a comfortable, inviting vibe.

While distinctly maximalist in style, each section of the home has a vibe of its own. The furniture, lights, wall panels and mirrors, specially crafted in-house by Beyond Designs give shape to the unique vision of the designers for the expansive holiday home. Another main attraction of the home is an eye-catching curation of artworks that vary from scaled-up, statement-making mythological ones to charming contemporary ones to monochromatic ones, with some original canvases thrown in. The accessories sourced from around the world add diverse moods from elegant to playful to quirky.
