American and English style brunches are a been-there-done-that scenario. If you’re looking for a really hearty brunch, Bonobo’s 5-course Mallu/Goan Brunch is a must-try! Bandra’s popular Bonobo collaborated with Aiyo Patrao’s Marian Dcosta and Ashwin Nair bringing you a brunch to remember. Want to start your Sundays with a bang? Go for the Hakka special Sunday Brunch at Hakkasan. A misty monsoon edition, the brunch is all about smokey cocktails to complement the gloomy monsoon spirits. Think Codigo 1530 tequila and Fandango mezcal concocted into refreshments like La Rita with Fandango mezcal, Cointreau, rosemary, honey and Mexican lime; Herbed Margarita with Cointreau, fresh sage, saline, agave nectar; or a light and simple Cucumber Spritz with fresh green cucumber, mint and sparkling wine among others. A traditional South Indian meal served on a banana leaf is quite an experience, and one that you must try at least once. A colourful spread, filled with authentic and nuanced flavours from the coastal regions of South India, is what The Moon Village’s Sunday brunch is all about. Available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, both menus include three chutneys (coconut, tomato and green), pickle puffed quinoa paniyaram with beetroot sambar, Chettinad kathal, chana manoli sambar with Mangalore rice, neer dosas and ragi noodles, rasam soup, coconut ladoo, payasam and assorted papads as common, while the non-vegetarian menu includes an additional raw mango fish curry. The delicious thali is an example of simple, traditional flavours that make for a great dining experience.
