The main focus of the movie is a man on a mission, Chris Hemsworth who takes on the role of Tyler Rake, a delusional mercenary tasked with rescuing an imprisoned crime lord’s son from Dhaka, Bangladesh. A Keanu Reeves classic, John Wick is among the legendary action movies out there. The popular series has four movies under its name, each standing on its own. But it’s always good to start with the first and the original John Wick. Despite his retirement, hitman John Wick is forced to return to the field after a home invasion involving a group of Russian gangsters who steal Wick’s car and murder a puppy gifted to him by his recently departed wife. He then sets out on a mission that takes him from New York to Paris to Japan, and then to Berlin in a fight against the High Table, including some of the most powerful players in the underworld. Deemed one of his best performances, John Wick has some of the best action sequences, including the now famed gun fu techniques from Hong Kong which were all choreographed by director Chad Stahelski.
