It’s the first Friday holiday of 2025. Holi’s around the corner and everyone’s switching off their work brains one tab at a time—shutting Outlook, floating the idea of half-days to HR, and voting on weekend plans on WhatsApp groups. The city’s got its own ways of tuning out—somewhere, Manu Chao is setting up for an unplugged riot, Todi Mills is about to turn into a bass-fuelled colour storm, and the blues are rolling in at the NCPA. Here’s what’s on the cards on this blessed long weekend.
Manu Chao Viva Tu India Tour

Manu Chao’s Viva Tu India Tour lands with an Ultra Acoustic Set, distilling his sound to its bare essentials and closer to the bone. It’s about to be a heady mix of reggae, ska, punk, and Latin folk—intimate electric, political and deeply personal. If Me Gustas Tú still plays in your head uninvited, now’s your chance to sing it back.
Holi’s coming early, but this time, you’re in charge of the stains. If you’ve been storing some old shirts for this time of year and have one to spare, it’s time to put it to use because Art Fervour and Subko are teaming up for a B.Y.O.Tee (Bring Your Own T-shirt) party. Paints, stencils, brushes—it’s all on the table, alongside your evening cuppa. Plus, there’s a tote from the Art Fervour Shop to take home so you have a carry-on worthy of your designs.
Date: March 12, 5.00 pm – 7.00 pm and 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm Venue: Subko Mary Lodge, Bandra West Pricing: ₹800
Festivities at Todi Mills, but make it a bass-heavy, eight-hour sonic trip. Sickflip and antiSOCIAL’s Pineapples Party is back with a Holi edition, ready to cover the alleyway in colour and underground club sounds. Expect everything from deep house to Afro grooves by a lineup that knows how to keep a crowd moving. You can arrive in white, but you’re definitely not leaving in it.
Date:March 14, 11.00 am onwards Pricing: ₹799 onwards
The blues are rolling into Mumbai for three nights of grit and soul at Mumbai’s oldest performing arts centre. American artists Alvon Johnson, Thornetta Davis, and Tia Carroll make their India debut, bringing scorching guitar work and deep, husky refrains straight to the Tata Theatre stage. If you like your music with swing and bite, you know where to be.
It’s Holi turned up a notch. A beachfront bash with an all-star DJ lineup, organic colours, an inflatable pool, and top-tier food and drinks served by the Taj. Think VVIP tables, larger-than-life decor, and surprise performances—all for a cause. A part of the proceeds supports WHTNOW’s fight against cyberbullying.
