Inside Bollywood’s highest paid actor Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna’s sea-facing home

Actor Akshay Kumar and his wife, Interior designer and actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna have been Bollywood’s power couple ever since they tied the knot in 2001. They met for a magazine’s photoshoot and soon fell in love. They have now been married for 19 years.

The power couple has made a splendid abode for themselves in Mumbai. a sea-facing duplex in Juhu where they live with their two children Aarav and Nitara.

If you love being close to nature, this place would be nothing less than a paradise for you. The luxurious house has a sea-facing lawn and a swimming pool.

The place formerly belonged to MK Gandhi’s friend, freedom fighter Sumanti Morarjee. During his visits, Gandhi used to mediate in the lawn. A stone statue has been placed in the exact location.

The lawn has a lot of outdoor furniture. From sofas to swings, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a family picnic in the lockdown.

Akshay and Twinkle are also dog parents and this house is home to German Shepherd, Cleo and a Beagle named Alex.

Khanna is a big book buff. She shared a tip on how to turn kids into readers in an Instagram post, “Let them read what they please instead of deciding what’s worthy of reading.”

We’ve seen numerous paintings hung on their walls, which make for amazing photoshoot backgrounds.

As a part of Twinkle Khanna’s venture, Tweak India’s re-decorating initiative, Spacelift, Khanna used a painting done by kids, empty gin bottles and a multi-purpose shawl to create a cosy reading space. She also made room for her favourite vanilla and coffee bean candle.

One of the bedrooms has wooden furniture and flooring. The bed sheet is micro bacteria and odour free.

The living room makes a great assembly spot for fun game nights.
