Kirsten King Brings Australia’s Renowned Pilates Studio Fluidform at Home to India
Pilates, long associated with reformers and boutique studios, is about to get a digital reinvention in India. Fluidform at Home, the globally acclaimed Pilates and wellness platform from Australia, has officially launched in the country, guided by the vision of founder and movement expert Kirsten King. With a community spanning over 180 countries, Fluidform has trained celebrities, athletes, and elite clientele worldwide- including Rita Ora, Pip Edwards, Christine Centenera, Nicole Warne, Steve Smith, and Buddy Franklin; and partnered with luxury brands like Soho House, Six Senses, CELINE, Sonos, Technogym, Soneva, and Capella Hotels.
In an exclusive conversation with LuxeBook, Kirsten King shares how she is redefining Pilates for India’s rapidly growing wellness community.
“When movement is guided by intention, it becomes transformative-strengthening the body, uplifting the mind, and enriching the way we live,” says King.
Her philosophy is simple- Pilates should be functional, accessible, and deeply personal, no matter your age, fitness level, or lifestyle.
Fluidform at Home delivers this promise through a digital library of 400+ on-demand workouts, 300 structured programs, and 200 challenges, all requiring minimal equipment. From teenagers and new mothers to professional athletes and those in rehabilitation, the platform tailors routines to each user’s unique goals. It is, King emphasises, “Pilates for life-mat-based, adaptable, and empowering.”

LuxeBook: You’ve trained celebrities, athletes, and elite clients worldwide. What core principles of Pilates remain universal across such diverse clientele?
KK: My experience over 25 years has been shaped and inspired by the thousands of bodies I have helped rebalance and realign with functional movement. No matter who they are, my approach is highly personalised and focuses on my philosophy that in order for the body to work effectively, it needs to be balanced. I’ve created a version of Pilates that realigns, builds strength and rebalances the human body to move freely and efficiently with confidence. Fluidform focuses on our slow twitch, stabilising muscles, that support our joints, stability, balance and posture, working these muscles through controlled movements, holds and layering techniques to fatigue, strengthen and tone your muscles. This approach to exercise helps to build strength and tone without causing stress on the joints and body. Clients will experience less pain and imbalances, improve their flexibility and start to move more efficiently.
Clients will stand taller, improve their posture, alignment and muscle composition to achieve this long, lean ‘Pilates body’. This sense of balance flows into all aspects of their lifestyle, impacting their nutrition, sleep, social interactions and stress management.

LuxeBook: How does Fluidform at Home differentiate from traditional Pilates studios, and why is this model important for India?
KK: Fluidform is unique in that we take a personalised approach to movement, whether this be in the studio or at home. Fluidform is designed to be accessible for all bodies, meaning if you do not have access to a Pilates studio, are rehabilitating an injury, are pregnant or a new mum, or are new to Pilates, Fluidform is designed to meet you where you are in your movement journey. In India, where online fitness and wellness is growing, Fluidform at Home offers a highly personalised, expert-led experience, that can be done entirely from home.
LuxeBook: India is often seen as a yoga-first market. How does Pilates complement or differ from the wellness practices already familiar to Indian audiences?
KK: Yoga and Pilates share mindfulness and low-impact principles, but their origins and techniques are very different. Yoga is a holistic discipline rooted in spirituality, while Pilates is grounded in functional movement with a focus on core strength, posture, and stability. Both movement forms use a combination of breathwork and movement to achieve a mind-body connection, which brings a sense of restoration, calmness and realignment to our bodies and minds. While quite different, both can have a similar impact on our mood, energy and self-awareness.

LuxeBook: Can you share a behind-the-scenes story of working with a celebrity or athlete that shaped your philosophy of movement?
KK: My experience working with professional athletes has shaped my career and movement method. The diversity in their bodies and needs is what makes my approach so personalised, having rebuilt the bodies of athletes with a variety of imbalances and injuries. Being a mother to three girls has also shaped my philosophy, experiencing first hand the changes our bodies go through during pregnancy and childbirth and postnatal recovery. Pilates is about identifying unique imbalances and programming specific and effective sequences which effectively rebalance and realign our bodies, to move efficiently, free of pain.
LuxeBook: What inspired you to launch Fluidform at Home, and why now is the right time for India to embrace it?
KK: Fluidform at Home was born as an extension of my studio approach, offering a personalised, results-driven movement program to all members to recreate an in-studio experience, at home. The offering is unique in that it’s designed to challenge you, while feeling safe and supported at home. I want you to feel like I am in the room with you, matching my cues with your movements, ensuring you are receiving the same level of detail as you would in the studio. What began as an extension of my studios for travelling clients, has evolved into a holistic health and wellness offering. Fluidform at Home is your own personalised movement and wellness platform, available on-demand, in your back pocket. Since the pandemic, at home workouts have become more accessible and affordable to in-person studios and classes, while not compromising on quality and effectiveness. India, with its young and wellness-conscious population, is at the perfect stage to embrace this approach.
With Fluidform at Home, Kirsten King bridges the gap between accessibility and expertise, offering Indian audiences the chance to experience Pilates as more than just a workout- it’s a lifestyle shift towards balance, strength, and mindful movement. As the country’s wellness culture evolves, Fluidform’s personalised approach could well redefine how India engages with fitness at home, blending international expertise with local aspirations for holistic health.
