Automobile aficionados can marvel at the sheer enormity of the new collaboration between luxury carmaker Lamborghini and legendary Danish toy producer Lego.A detailed replica of the brand’s Sián FKP 37 model was built using a whopping 4,00,000 LEGO Technic pieces. Technic is a line of Lego that uses interconnecting plastic rods and parts to create more advanced models with more complex technical functions. The real-sized model uses 54 types of Lego elements, 20 of which were pressed especially for this project.

The car is reproduced in its natural size, and weighs 2,200 kgs, took 8,660 hours of work to complete, right from development to meticulous construction of the model. This masterpiece involved the work of a 15-member team including designers, engineers, and technicians from the two companies. It’s the first time a Lego model has been painted using a paintbrush effect coating and UV paint, applied by the paintwork department of Lamborghini. The Sián replica even has the light effects of a Super Sports Car. “We are pleased to have taken part in the production of this exclusive edition of the Lamborghini Sián, which will certainly win over both Lamborghini and LEGO fans in the same way,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

While Lego isn’t selling this 400,000-piece kit, fans can pick up the Lego Technic model, which is 1:8 scaled model, which was unveiled in June 2020.

The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 model comes in 3696 pieces Lego has loaded the car with authentic features like an 8-speed transmission, activated by the movable paddle gearshift, V12 engine with moving pistons, and a 4-wheel drive. Just like the full-size super sports car, this model car features Lamborghini’s classic scissor opening doors.
