Despite the pandemic, the hospitality industry in India has flourished, even more so in the past two years. A swarm of new restaurants are opening up all around the country as things get back on track, with exciting new menus. If you’re an avid foodie looking to try out new spots in the city, here are a few restaurants with menus that are crowd favourites!

After successfully launching BrewDog Midtown Mumbai, the Aloha International BrewPub brought BrewDog to Bandra on March 25, 2022. A 7,000 sq. ft. space spread across two floors, BrewDog is the go-to space for beer enthusiasts with 24 beer taps serving some of the best craft beers. But it’s not all beer. BrewDog also has an epic menu ranging from delicious burgers to wood-fired gourmet pizzas, freshly baked breads, delicious mains and more. The restaurant is also dog-friendly, which means your furry friends get to join in on the fun!

Tucked away in the buzzing business district of Lower Parel, Café Panama is a vibrant space with a “Tropical Glam” vibe and a timeless combination of comfort, glamour and design. The menu by culinary director Chef Sushil Multani is an example of the restaurant’s philosophy of constant innovation. Offering a fusion of tastes and textures, each dish on the menu is created with the freshest ingredients in a series of small, sharing plates like Tacos & Tostadas, as well as some heartier main dishes all inspired by traditional Panamanian cooking.

A new all-vegetarian restaurant in Kala Ghoda, La Pôz Place is a quaint and charming space with a European inspired ambience. Designed like a work of art, the vibrant atmosphere is evened out with whimsical Colonial-style décor. Everything at the restaurant is made in-house, from the eggless pastas to the wood-fired pizzas and the drool-worthy desserts! Believing in clean eating, the founders of La Pôz have promoted the same philosophy in their menu with quality ingredients that are tasty as well as fresh and ethically sourced!

A new boho-chic restaurant in the boho-chic streets of Bandra, Loci and Toot offers an airy, light-hearted ambience inspired by the Mediterranean region. The refreshing character is combined with a chef-driven, ingredient-forward menu that focuses on creating spectacular dishes with the best-sourced ingredients. From handcrafted specials like Artichoke tortellini and Mushroom and burrata fazzoletti, to a unique collection of toast, salads and sides. One of the highlights of this aesthetic restaurant is the special ‘dry bar’ that offers zero-alcohol cocktails made with zero-proof spirits like seedlip and prepared with fresh and natural sweetening ingredients.

An enigmatic bungalow-style restaurant, Maai which means motherland is inspired by the artisanal flavours of the motherland and its menu. Offering a delectable mix of Goan and Portuguese flavours on a plate, the menu presents a delicious mix of small plates and curries that celebrate the delicate flavours of Goa. Some of the chef’s specials include dishes like Raw Banana Cutlets, The Vegan Beetroot Gallettees, Chorizo Hummus, Pepper Spiced Mutton, and Braised Piri Piri Clams. And not overlooking signature Goan cocktails Casa de Maai is a crowd favourite made with the Goa’s popular cashewnut Feni.

A vibrant and energetic space, Sette Mara takes inspiration from both, the rich coastline in Mumbai as well as from the Middle East. Set against a soothing backdrop of deep, marine blues, the space comes alive with burnished rusts, burgundies and cinnamon tones reflective of Middle-Eastern spices, wines and perfumes. The menu itself is a haven for Middle Eastern cuisine. Recreating the magic of the Middle -East, the menu features both traditional as well as contemporary picks like mezze, Eastern charcoal grills, fresh baked bread in the traditional stone oven, and an array of luscious desserts and housemade ice-creams selections.

Built around a Modern Tribal Theme, Totem has an experiential yet casual ambience with popping tones, textured seating and graphically lighting and the jaw dropping 40-ft bar! In addition to the diverse food menu, the restaurant also has a Zero Percent Alcohol menu serving traditional favourites like rum, gin and beer curating a bespoke selection of crafted cocktails. Aside from these guests get to create their own cocktails in a fun DIY experience. Being a fitness enthusiast, owner Rinaa Shah ensures every dish on the menu is made with natural ingredients only, limiting as much sugar as possible.
