Calling all mutants because the X-Men’97 Mansion is ready to welcome mutant trainees like you to their newest class! Yes, move over the reel world. Are you ready to get transported to the real-life? We have some fantastic news for you, Airbnb is letting a select group of fans stay at the mansion. It’s launching a chance to stay at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning in Westchester, NY. The stay, which is set up inside a four-bedroom mansion in High Castle and hosted by Jubilee, is a 2D experience. And because it’s based on the new series X-Men ’97, it’s only $97 a night, per person. It’s opulent grand and well, a bit more grand than you might have expected.

Perched atop a hill in Westchester County, New York, the house, overlooking rolling hills north of New York City, was until recently a residential home. For a few months, however, Airbnb is taking it over. The X-Men mansion is part of a new effort by Airbnb, one that will embrace pop culture to offer its users the ability to stay in iconic properties, both real and fictional. It’s an effort the company is calling Icons – a new category of extraordinary experiences hosted by the greatest names in music, film, television, art, sports, and more.

But nothing about this mansion is regular. From a Sentinel head crashed in the driveway, to claw marks on the doorframes where Wolverine has slashed the place to ribbons to a danger room and Cerebro. There are also multiple rooms to sleep in, including Jubilee’s bedroom which comes complete with a VHS player and video game cabinet includes. Adding a dash of life to the X-Men’97 mansion are interiors that have been meticulously hand-painted to appear two-dimensional. The interiors are quirky and feature a burst of colours including a dominant shade of yellow and purple. The space itself looks like the animated series come to life.

Inside the X-Men’97 mansion in Westchester, overnight guests will experience a multi-hour tour hosted by a team of actors portraying X-Men in training, including some unique cocktail-making in Beast’s lab, and combat training from a stunt man in the danger room. What’s more? Each of the bedrooms is themed to different X-Men. Being part of a learning programme, a stay at the X-Men’97 Mansion will be packed with training, cool experiments, secret mission briefings, a class photo, Wolverine’s room, or other dorms. Through the stay, fans will be taken through new student orientation, an experience of the Beast’s lab (pretty much a science playground), and a class in the Danger Room, where you may have to fend off The Hellfire Club! Fan cans also make their way to the War Room to try on Cerebro, and find out their mutant superpower. Finally, the icing on the cake is that you even get a diploma at the end for studying at Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

Bookings are now open on airbnb with stays starting in June. Are you really ready?
