Luxury tour operator Safrans du Monde brings a French flair to around-the-world private jet trips. The luxury travel operator is launching a one-of-a-kind journey, covering nine iconic destinations over 22 days namely the Grand Classiques World Tour. But that’s not all, the journey involves a truly luxurious private jet.
Inspired by Jules Verne’s novel “Around the World in 80 Days,” which celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, the 22-day journey begins and ends in Paris, starting this fall. Safrans du Monde has turned an A340 into a flying five-star hotel, and the world tour promises passengers multiple days at each destination. This year’s nine ports are Easter Island, French Polynesia, Rio de Janeiro, Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat, Petra, the Taj Mahal, Sydney, and Paris, where this sky cruise begins and ends. In 2024, New York City will be added to the itinerary.
The first stop is Rio de Janeiro. After an introduction to the Bay of Rio, travellers reach Machu Picchu where the Incas celebrated the Sun, then the mysterious Easter Island watched over by its stone giants. Soon after reaching French Polynesia, adorned in black pearls and crystal lagoons, and then a touch down in Sydney to see the Opera House! Fly ahead further to reach vibrant Hanoi, followed by the tranquillity of Halong Bay. What’s next…? India and the fascinating Taj Mahal. The last chapter of the World Tour will be spectacular, as you witness the pink Treasure of Petra and the magical splendour of the Wadi Rum desert. At each stop, guests will be treated to private small group tours and evening entertainment.
On board the flight you can expect luxury services and amenities. This flying five-star hotel has three pilots, seven flight attendants, a sommelier, and a chef, and can accommodate just 40 passengers. Each jet-setter gets a flatbed seat with two full meters of space between them and their neighbour. The bathrooms are lush, and there’s even a lounge area with leather sofas. From appetizers, canapés and meals on your seats prepared and served in French style on a white tablecloth to crockery worthy of the highest standards of private aviation and the finest selection of champagne, the crew is attentive to all your demands.
Safrans du Monde’s business-class package, Club Safrans, starts at $74,633 per person. It includes transfers, guided tours of 25 people or fewer, and full board and rooms at five-star hotels. If that’s not fancy enough for you, fly first class, Premiere Safrans. First class starts at $115,242 per person and includes all the above as well as boarding the plane first, checking twice as much luggage, and staying in even bigger rooms at even more exclusive properties, such as Peru’s Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa and Australia’s Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. The Grand Classiques World Tour runs from October 24 to November 14 this fall.
What’s more? Safrans du Monde can even create customized excursions for you. And if you have already visited one of the destinations, you can pick an alternative. To book click here.
