What is oil pulling?
Oil pulling or Kavala or Gundusha is an ancient ancient Ayurvedic practice. It involves swishing a tablespoon of oil in your mouth for around 20 minutes on an empty stomach and spitting it out. This process pulls out the bad bacteria present in your mouth and promotes better dental hygiene. You can choose any natural oil such as coconut or sesame.
Benefits of oil pulling
1. It removes harmful bacteria in your mouth and gets rid of bad breath.
2. It reduces plaque build up.
3. It also helps prevent bleeding and gum inflammation.
4. The practice can also help lighten stains on teeth.
