The epitome of luxury: Raffles the Palm Dubai opens its doors to guests

An opulent hotel in the land of luxury, Raffles The Palm Dubai, a palatial luxury beachfront resort opened to visitors on 1 October. Located on the Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent, it is the luxury hotel brand’s second property in Dubai. The hotel sits on a 500-metre private beach, has an award-winning Parisian Cinq Mondes Spa, which features 23 treatment rooms, two private spa suites and an indoor swimming pool. Ayman Gharib, Managing Director of Raffles The Palm Dubai, says, “The five-star property invites guests to discover one of the world’s most exciting destinations through the gracious lens of a Raffles resort.”

Each of the 389 rooms has views of the Arabian Gulf or the Dubai Skyline. Accommodation options range from Deluxe and Premier Ocean Rooms, Premium Club Palm and Premium Club Terrace Rooms to Duplex Suites, Signature Ocean Suites, Premier One Bedroom Palm Suites, Raffles Presidential Suites and Raffles Royal Suite. For those who prefer an ultra-luxurious experience, the Raffles Royal Villas and Raffles Imperial Villas offer 950 square metres to 1,050 square metres of opulent space.

The four-bedroom villas, give guests easy access to a pristine private beach and lush gardens. All guests can avail of the Raffles famed 24-hour personalised butler service.

Those with an eye for art will appreciate the hotel’s 70,000 pieces of furniture that have been imported from the traditional Italian ateliers of Francesco Molon. More than 6,000 Swarovski Crystal chandeliers grace the high ceilings.

Rooms are covered in real gold and silver leaf finishing touches, and the floors are polished with imported Portuguese marble. The resort’s collection of fine furnishings is tended to by the highly trained in-house ‘furniture master’ who works around the clock to ensure every detail is perfect, polished and shining at all times.

Other amenities include a regal restaurant, Le Jardin, which has an outdoor terrace overlooking the property’s lush gardens and the Palm Jumeirah. Another food aficionado’s delight is Matagi, where a fusion menu of contemporary Japanese and Italian food, a cuisine known as Itameshi, awaits guests. Those musically inclined can kick their feet up at the live Jazz lounge, called SOLA. A Raffles Patisserie serves classic French and Italian pastries and is headed by Gianluca Guinzoni, a COVA-trained chef. Spend sunset hour at Raffles Club Lounge, accessible to guests staying in Club Rooms and Suites, where you can get a 360-degree view of the Dubai skyline.

PIATTI, a vibrant and elegant beach restaurant run by charismatic Turkish and Italian Culinary Director, Batuhan Piatti, will delight the senses with a sophisticated menu of seafood dishes. Guests can also enjoy a legendary afternoon tea experience fit for royalty at Blüthner Hall, with the majestic atmosphere complemented by a bespoke Blüthner Louis XIV Grand Piano.
