Nestled in the beautiful vineyard landscape of Mexico’s wine country, this luxurious wellness resort provides a peaceful retreat for those looking to reconnect with nature. Situated in the stunning northern Baja California, the resort marks the fifth property for Banyan Group in Mexico and is easily accessible from San Diego or Tijuana International Airport. Ximena Dipp, General Manager of Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe, expressed enthusiasm about the new launch, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome guests to Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe and to offer a blend of wine and wellness experiences in a unique setting. Our team is dedicated to creating outstanding experiences for our guests, from exploring the art of Grenache with our winemakers to experiencing rejuvenating local rituals with our healers, all reflecting our passion for wellbeing and connection to nature.”

Architecture

Designed by Mexican architect Michel Rojkind and interiors by smArq Arquitectura, the resort embraces earth’s architecture and blends seamlessly into the rolling hills of Valle de Guadalupe. Its earthy tones and nature-appreciative architecture span across the 16 acres featuring a bespoke collection of 30 villas with private plunge pools, a variety of well-being experiences and an ethnobotanical garden.

The villas at the resort have a modern appeal with a muted colour palette of white and beige. They are illuminated with large bay windows that offer panoramic views of the ever-changing scenery. To stay true to wellness and sustainability, the interiors feature furniture crafted from dehydrated Tzalam wood, sourced from the tropical forests of Mexico’s southern region, creating a sense of harmony with the surrounding environment.

The resort offers a private winery that will introduce its own exclusive collection of wines dedicated solely to Grenache, as well as several exceptional culinary outlets. Under the leadership of Food and Beverage Manager Fernando Labra Degante, the resort’s seven culinary concepts aim to promote conscious living, incorporating healthy ingredients and practices into both traditional and modern Mexican dishes made with fresh, locally harvested food that supports small farms and is sustainably sourced.
