After making waves with some iconic looks in 2023, Milan Men’s Fashion Week is all set to kickstart with a bang in January 2024. The week is poised to commence with a spectacular start, as outlined in the initial schedule revealed by the Italian fashion chamber on Wednesday. Taking place from January 12 to 16, the proceedings will commence with Sabato De Sarno unveiling his menswear perspective for Gucci at 3 pm. Positioned between the Billionaire and Dsquared2 coed fashion shows, Stone Island will host its inaugural runway show later on the same day at Milan’s La Cattedrale industrial space.
On the inaugural day’s presentation lineup, Brunello Cucinelli, Boglioli, and the emerging label Mordecai, founded by Ludovico Bruno earlier this year, will make their official schedule debut. Kiton plans to showcase “Tailoring School: A Journey Into Education” in collaboration with the Triennale Milano museum, emphasizing its in-house academy and advocating for craftsmanship and the training of new tailors. Additionally, Stone Island is set to present its vision for the next phase with an AW24 show scheduled for January 12, 2024, coinciding with the commencement of Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The event will take place at the industrial venue of La Cattedrale in Milan. Following Robert Triefus’s appointment as CEO of Sportswear Company S.p.A. by Moncler Group in May 2023, the company responsible for developing, producing, and distributing the Stone Island brand, which Moncler fully acquired in February 2021, Triefus expressed anticipation for the event, stating that it provides an opportunity to unite the community and unveil Stone Island’s new manifesto, reflecting the brand’s distinctive legacy, values, and mission.
The following day will feature fashion shows from Fendi, Emporio Armani, MSGM, Neil Barrett, and Philipp Plein, while Woolrich Black Label by Todd Snyder will debut in a presentation format.
On Jan 14, Etro will unveil its new men’s tailoring collection and open its first store exclusively dedicated to the line on Milan’s Via Montenapoleone. Opting for a coed show in February, Moschino is absent from the current schedule, having already presented its men’s fall 2024 collection alongside the women’s pre-fall 2024 range earlier this month.
In a transitional phase until Matteo Tamburini’s arrival in February, Tod’s will present its men’s fall 2024 collection on Jan 14. The day will also feature highly anticipated shows from Prada at 2 pm CET, JW Anderson at 7 p.m. CET, and several debuts, including Pronounce, the Shanghai-based fashion label by Yushan Li and Jun Zhou; Institution, created by former Act N.1 designer Galib Gassanoff; and the inaugural men’s collection from footwear label Stuart Weitzman, among others.
