There’s now a James Bond 007 Jamaican Rum

Shaken or stirred, no matter how you like it this James Bond themed 007 Jamaican rum will have you skip- your martini for something divine. The booze that James Bond is most associated with is the Martini, but this new 007-themed Jamaican rum by Blackwell will leave you surprised. Created by Blackwell Rum, the founder Chris Blackwell said, “James Bond has been a big part of my life, from my childhood lunches with Ian Fleming at GoldenEye to being a location scout on the first movie, Dr No (1962) to now,” and hence came the inspiration for the liquor.

But how does that connect to the rum you may ask? Blackwell owns GoldenEye, a resort which was the former home of Bond author Ian Fleming. At the resort is The Fleming Villa where Fleming supposedly wrote all of his books. Blackwell served as a location scout on the 1962 Bond film Dr No, the first in the series which happens to take place in Jamaica. “It’s been over 60 years since James Bond made his big screen debut in Dr No,” said Chris Blackwell in a statement. “He’s been a constant in my life ever since. To celebrate Bond and my old friend Ian Fleming, I’ve created this Collector’s Edition of my rum. This is a rum that celebrates Jamaica, my friendships, and my family’s legacy.”
What is included in the collector’s edition?
