The Upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet (E 450 model), will launch in India in the first quarter of 2021 and is expected to be priced around Rs. 40,80,000 ($54,000).
The car, which is 5,078 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,484 mm tall, is designed to have a sporty, yet elegant look, and will come in a convertible option. The front of the car will have more rounded headlights, a new design for the radiator grille, and some modifications in the look of the bumper. The back will have a new design for the split tail lights and boot lid.

The car will comprise of Mercedes’ latest MBUX system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), which will have either two 10.25 inch or 12.3-inch screen; and a new central hub design, which will be sphere-shaped. The central display, for the first time in an E-Class model, will be a touch screen, making it incredibly easy to use the infotainment system of the car.

Customers have three colour options for the exterior of the car: Mojave silver, high-tech silver, and graphite grey metallic. The interior could be magma grey, grey-black, or nut brown. Mercedes has also expanded on its selection of wheels, which will also have a more aerodynamic design.

The car will house a new M 254 2.0- litre petrol engine (replacing the M 274 engine) with a second-generation ISG (Integrated Starter Generator). The new engine will provide up to 15 kW more of power compared to the previous model, and also add 180 Nm of extra torque. The car will also contain a 48-volt electric system.

Mercedes’ E-Class has always been a favourite amongst Indian consumers, making the E450 a car to look out for.
