This Dehradun penthouse is a royal abode facing the Himalayas
Delhi-based interior designer Rano Singh, also the Founder of her firm The Muse, recently completed a stunning home in Dehradun.

The 12,000 sq ft penthouse is a private residence that offers a great view of the Himalayan range.

The home is a blend of old and new with elegant pieces of furniture.

The colour scheme of the entire home is subtle with shades of taupe, beige and dove grey.

Though the first floor has splashes of blue, green and aqua.

With a double-height foyer, the two-storey space has five bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, huge living areas and a grand dining room.

The light hues and simplicity of the furniture are in lines with the clients’ brief of capturing the spirit of the surrounding mountains.

A special marble was sourced, one that stands out for its unusual shade from the cream family, for the dining and the living room.

The flooring in three bedrooms and congregation areas on the upper floor is done in warm wood in a soft and distressed shade.

The primary bathroom’s walls and floors are decked up in dark grey marble.

Spacious double-height lobby adds to the grandeur of the living and dining areas.

The family area has a fireplace that is popular amongst the members during Dehradun’s harsh winters.

Traditional rugs are used throughout the house, which blends beautifully with the flooring and furnishings.

The simple but eye-catchy accents and dramatic accessories enhance the look of the place.
