German luxury car manufacturer Audi recently announced the launch of the Audi Q5 in India. The Q5 had been discontinued from last year’s line-up as the company was transitioning to B6 norms. However, this year it is back as a petrol-only SUV. A sporty look with everyday accessibility, the new model promises better performance along with an enhanced driving experience.
Exterior

The outer face of the luxury SUV is where most of the changes have been made. The front has a larger single-frame octagonal grille with vertical chrome slats. Other minor changes to the exterior include LED headlights that have been redesigned, DRL and taillight units and 19-inch S-design alloy wheels, larger fog lamp housings, and silver roof rails and side skirts.
Engine

While the Audi Q5 is available in petrol and diesel engines worldwide, the Indian model will have only petrol units, with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TFSI petrol engine updated to comply with BS6 norms. Generating 245bhp and 370Nm of torque, the new Q5 has a top speed of up to 237kmph and can go from 0 to 100kmph in just 6.3 seconds.
Interior

The interiors got a few tweaks with new upholstery in Atlas beige and Okapi brown leatherette with Piano black inlays. Amplifying the comfort of the driver, the new Q5 has been equipped with features like front parking sensors, wireless phone charging, three-zone air-conditioning and ambient lighting in 30 different hues. The new Q5 also comes with eight airbags, including rear-side airbags, ABS with EBD and traction control.
