If you’re done with Maldives and on the hunt for your next popular holiday destination, read on.
Located only 4 hours away from Mumbai, Seychelles, also known as Paradise on Earth is located just off the coast of Kenya, and is home to endemic species like the enormous Aldabra tortoises and the rare Coco de Mer palms. The majority of these islands include marine sanctuaries and UNESCO-listed natural reserves. The country has several pleasant hikes through the verdant woods, unwinding opportunities on the idyllic beaches, or scuba diving adventures to discover the island’s rich undersea history.

A view of the topography
Just south of the equator, in the Indian Ocean, the 115 granite and coral islands that makeup Seychelles are dispersed over a vast region totaling one million square kilometers. The Inner Islands and the Outer Islands are the two divisions of these islands. The Seychelles, which were uninhabited until the 18th century, gave rise to a diverse range of plants and animals, the majority of which have endured the test of time. Seychelles has a unique history of flora and fauna species that developed in seclusion.
If you’re planning a holiday anytime soon, then I suggest you head to Seychelles to get away from the busy city life and spend your time sunbathing on the white sandy beaches as you admire the beautiful turquoise water and listen to the trees sway to the wind’s rhythm.
Mahe

Take a trip to Seychelles’ largest island! Most of Seychelles’ citizens reside in Mahe, which is in the northeast of the country and enchants you with its spectacular scenery and rich greenery. The forests of Mahe are home to numerous rare endemic plants that can only be found in Seychelles, including the Jellyfish tree, the carnivorous Seychelles Pitcher Plant, and numerous unusual varieties of orchids. You can wander down to the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens to witness the excellent flora the island has to offer and even a giant tortoise enclosure. Southern Mahe is unspoiled and features deserted beaches as well as underwater gardens. If you ever tire of beaches with sand as white as fine powder, head to the Craft Village, the Creole Institute, take a stroll, or embrace Mahe’s vibrant Creole culture.
Catarman Sailing
On Mahe Island, renting a yacht or boarding a catamaran sailing tour is one of the most popular things to do. With several small islands within hours’ sailing distance and the stunning Indian Ocean that surrounds the islands, is ideal for sailing. The Starfish is one of the most popular catamaran day tours. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a trip through the Sainte Anne Marine Park and get a glimpse of the abundant marine life in Seychelles.

Praslin Island is a tropical paradise and is more sedate than its well-known cousin Mahe. Six indigenous palm species, including the erotic-looking Coco de Mer, the bearer of the largest nut in the world, are found in Praslin’s forests. Dense flora and luxuriant coconut plantations welcome you everywhere. The island is well known for its gentle, sandy beaches, making it a fantastic honeymoon location. Swim at Anse Lazio, which is consistently rated as one of the best beaches in the world, or go snorkeling among living corals that are home to 900 different species of fish! Snorkeling is without a doubt one of the most daring activities on Praslin Island because it allows you to get close to underwater marine life or swim with a school of vibrant fish. But if you’re not a fan of the deep blue sea, then try hiking along the often difficult but scenic trails from Anse Lazio to Anse Georgette which will definitely test your stamina.

An abandoned paradise and the fourth-largest island in Seychelles, La Digue, has long been kept a secret! La Digue has received numerous honors and prizes and is renowned for having some of the most stunning beaches and bays in the world. Both the nearest island, Praslin, and the nation’s capital Mahé are easily accessible from La Digue. As if the island’s breathtaking scenery, lovely sea-green waters, thick forests, and white sandy beaches weren’t enough, it is also a sanctuary for birdwatchers. You may explore this relaxed tropical island on foot or by bicycle, and the Nid D’ Aigle peak offers stunning vistas. La Digue is just as beautiful below, with some of the world’s most vibrant fish populating the waterways. La Digue is a small, extremely relaxed island that is best discovered on a bicycle. There are very few cars on the island because most residents and visitors move around on bicycles or on foot, which is ideal for soaking in the breathtaking surroundings at a leisurely pace.

Denis Island offers luxurious seclusion. Situated south of Mahe, the island is surrounded by coconut palms, takamaka trees, and casuarina trees. It is also home to a single lighthouse that was constructed in 1910 and stands tall on the island’s northern side. The island, which bears the name Denis de Trobriant, is a refuge for avian and natural history aficionados. As part of a conservation initiative by Nature Seychelles, 58 Seychelles Warbler and 47 Seychelles Fody from Cousine Island and Fregate Island, respectively, were transferred to Denis in 2004. Additionally, you may get up and personal with the numerous turtles and seals that call Denis Island home.

The most pleasurable and popular activities on Denis Island primarily take place in the huge, tranquil, blue waters that surround the island. All activities are much more enjoyable than they otherwise would be thanks to the abundant marine life in the neighboring waters. People can enjoy activities like fishing, sailing, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, and more without having to worry about the area being subject to strong ocean currents. There are many particularly well-known dive sites all around the island. If you decide to go game fishing, you will find a wide range of species, the most well-known of which is the red snapper and the pelagic fish.

All of the rooms rely on nature’s calming impact with outdoor bathrooms and garden courtyards. Four different types of lodging offer a variety of options to meet any travel preferences.
