These new menus in Mumbai are worth making a reservation
August has arrived with the rain, the cravings and, naturally, a fresh crop of reasons to eat out. From Korean street food and Tokyo style ramen to regional Thai curries and ingredient led Indian cuisine, discover these new menus redefining dining in and around Mumbai this month.
EL&N London: A Korean-inspired monsoon menu

EL&N London – Jio World Plaza, Mumbai is giving the monsoon a Korean twist with a limited-edition menu built around bao, corndogs and cloud-topped beverages. The savoury lineup includes Korean Chilli Chicken Bao and Korean Chilli Mushroom Bao, alongside Seoul Cheese Corndogs and Seoul Chicken & Cheese Corndogs. There is also an Avocado Corn Crown for those looking for something lighter. On the drinks side, Monsoon Masala Chai, Cloud Chai Latte and the nostalgic Parle-G Chai Cloud bring a distinctly Indian tea-time mood to the menu.

SpiceKlub, Babulnath: Molecular gastronomy meets South Mumbai

Spiceklub has expanded into Babulnath with its second Mumbai outlet, bringing its playful take on vegetarian Indian cuisine to one of South Mumbai’s established vegetarian neighbourhoods. The menu continues the restaurant’s signature molecular gastronomy approach with familiar favourites including Pav Bhaji Fondue, Pani Puri, Naanza, Moti Paneer Makhani, Papads of India and the iconic Flower Pot Dessert. The new restaurant accommodates approximately 45 guests indoors, with a 30-cover terrace planned for the winter months.

“Jamva Chalo Ji”: Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai (home-style Parsi cuisine)

Parsi cuisine takes centre stage at Fairfield by Marriott Mumbai Andheri West this August with Jamva Chalo Ji, a ten day celebration of home style cooking at Pana. Led by Parsi home style cuisine specialist Chef Daugdo Ragina, the festival brings generations old recipes to the table, including classics such as Dhansak and Patra Ni Machhi.
The experience runs during dinner from August 14 to 23, with special Parsi brunches on August 16 and 23. Named after the traditional Parsi invitation to “Come, let’s eat”, the festival offers a closer look at one of Mumbai’s most distinctive culinary traditions.

Soma, Grand Hyatt Mumbai: A Maharashtrian feast

The feast is presented as both vegetarian and non vegetarian thalis, bringing together dishes that showcase the breadth of Maharashtrian cooking. The menu moves through Marathwada Maas Vadi, Prawns Sukka, Sagoti Vade, Kala Mutton, Rice Bhakri, Indrayani Bhaat and Surmai Rava Fry, with refreshing Sol Kadhi adding its characteristic coastal tang.The sweet ending is equally rooted in tradition, with Gor Poli and Modak bringing the meal to a suitably indulgent close. It is a menu that does not attempt to flatten Maharashtra into a single culinary identity. Instead, it lets its regions speak for themselves, placing robust inland flavours alongside the coconut, seafood and comforting curries of the Konkan.

Nara Thai: Thailand’s regional curries take centre stage

Nara Thai, Worli is looking beyond the familiar Thai canon with Curry Shop, a new menu inspired by the regional curry traditions of Thailand. Developed by the restaurant’s culinary teams in Thailand and India, the menu brings together Southern and Northern Thai influences across curries, noodle bowls, small plates, desserts and cocktails. Highlights include the Southern Curry Bowl, Massaman Lamb Curry with Smoked Coconut Rice and Seabass Fillet in Yellow Curry, alongside Hat Yai Fried Chicken Wings and Fried Pomfret with Chilli Lime Sauce. The cocktail list follows suit with creations such as Khao Niao Bliss, Siam Spice and Som-O Saza.

Gaijin: Tokyo’s ramen culture lands in Khar

Gaijin has transformed its alleyway into a dedicated Ramen Shop inspired by Tokyo’s late-night noodle counters. Led by Chef Anand Morwani, the new outdoor concept features seven ramen bowls alongside Japanese small plates and Gaijin’s cocktail programme. Expect bowls such as Robata Chicken Paitan, Triple Pork Tonkotsu, Black Garlic Lamb Paitan and Smoked Duck Matcha Yuzu. Vegetarian diners get options including Smoked Cauliflower Miso, Truffle & Wild Mushroom and Clean Green Matcha Yuzu.

Cafe Como Xo: Monsoon comfort in Kala Ghoda

Cafe Como Xo has answered Mumbai’s rainy-day cravings with a seasonal menu that leans into comfort without getting too heavy. The new additions range from a Wholesome Breakfast Bowl and Grilled Apricot Toast to Seasonal Plum Salad, La Dolce Vita spaghetti and Dimsum in Sizzling Sauce. Corn takes two forms in the Como Special Corn Ribs and Corn Cloud Toast, while the drinks list includes Blue Pea Lemonade, Affogato and the Brown Butter Latte, available both hot and iced. The latter has quickly emerged as one of the café’s most popular orders.

Walters: Seoul-inspired burgers and street food

Walters Burger is taking Korean street food and putting it between its signature yellow potato buns with its first-ever Korean Drop. The limited-edition menu includes the Korean Fried Chicken Burger, Bulgogi Lamb Burger, Bang Bang Shrimp Burger and Korean Spice Bean Burger, alongside Korean Street Fries, Korean Street Crispers and Korean Fried Chicken Wings. The K-Cheese Toastie and Two Layer BBQ & Cheese Dip round out the indulgent lineup. Built around Walters’ 2 > 1 philosophy, the menu is designed around two medium burgers rather than one oversized creation.
