Who doesn’t dream of that beach house by the sea? If you lean towards this, and always wanted a flavour of what life on the ocean would feel like, then the aquatic life is looking more appealing than ever before, thanks to Ocean Builders. The Panama-based company has just unveiled a new fleet of eco-friendly SeaPod homes designed for life on the ocean.

Known as eco-friendly sea residences, these floating homes will give you a chance to indulge in luxe living on the sea. The Seapods come in three models — each penned by Dutch architect Koen Olthius. While the SeaPod is built for aquatic living, the GreenPod is engineered for the land and the EcoPod is the environmentally friendly option.

Essentially, the elevated offshore structures give travellers and residents a chance to live on the water in the lap of luxury. The floating homes are constructed 7.5 feet above the ocean and offer 830 square feet of living space. The interior, which is spread across three levels, comprises a master bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a large storage space. Spacious yet compact, the SeaPod can accommodate a total of two people.

The interiors of the pod are modern, minimal and connect you with nature. Adding elements that depict the ocean, the interior walls mimic the natural flow of water and curve seamlessly from one room. But the standout feature ought to be that there are smartpods. A special software allows residents to control everything from the lighting and temperature to shower heat and water pressure. The hidden lightbulbs, light switches, and power outlets allow you to choose between daytime white (blue tone) and nighttime white (yellow tone). Each SeaPod also comes with a wearable smart ring for the owner. With a simple wave of the hand, you can unlock doors, turn on music and more. Finally, the massive panoramic windows will take your breath away.

And if you thought this was it, let us take a little more into what you can expect. Adding a futurist element, a fleet of drones will be used to drop food, medicine and everyday items to the pods, while larger autonomous vessels will carry out bigger deliveries like furniture and luggage. There will also be another self-sailing vessel to collect trash and clean up the area.
