Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra kickstarted India Couture Week 2021 with his enchanting collection Nooraniyat- The Bridal Edit. His beautiful, enchanting muse for this collection was none other than actress Kriti Sanon; the Bollywood star donned a beautiful heavily embroidered red lehenga set from the Nooraniyat collection.
However, this isn’t the first time that Manish Malhotra had an actress for a muse. Over the years, the designer has created some exceptional designs with some of the most desirable faces in Bollywood. Have a look below.
1. Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya was the showstopper for Manish Malhotra’s first-ever fashion show in Doha, Qatar. Donning a shiny white and red embroidered gown with a floral design, the ensemble was teamed with a flowing cape and a striking blue flower hair accessory.
2. Alia Bhatt
For India Couture Week 2017, Alia Bhatt walked the ramp in a breathtaking Manish Malhotra ensemble. Donning a heavy silver plunge top and a muted beige skirt, the look was completed with a long train and bright red lipstick.
3. Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone graced the ramp at the India Couture Week 2016 in an ensemble from Manish Malhotra’s ‘The Persian Story’. She donned a glamorous red off-shoulder blouse teamed with a matching red ornate, embroidered lehenga, a statement choker and smokey eye makeup.
4. Jacqueline Fernanadez
Another Lakmé Fashion Week masterpiece, Manish Malhotra’s exquisite spring summer collection ‘Elements’ saw Jacqueline in a shimmery silver evening gown teamed with a sheer pink cape, looking nothing short of a princess. The look was complete with soft nude makeup and a sleek ponytail.
5. Katrina Kaif
A long time muse, Katrina Kaif turned showstopper Manish Malhotra at the 20th Lakmé Fashion Week in 2019. A magnificent look altogether, the dark, heavily embellished, velvet lehenga was paired with statement jewellery, complete with open beach waves and nude makeup.
6. Kiara Advani
On the fourth day of Lakme fashion week 2021, Kiara Advani looked like a vision in a sparkling Manish Malhotra lehenga choli. A dazzling silver-sequined lehenga with a cut blouse, the ensemble featured a shimmery long veil stitched to the right arm of the outfit adding to the glam.
