Bvlgari unveils their Polychroma collection at the MET Gala 2025

On the first Monday of May, when New York City turns into fashion’s grandest playground, the jewellery game of celebrities shimmered even brighter than the flashbulbs. From Priyanka Chopra’s Magnus Emerald Necklace featuring a whooping 241.06-carat faceted emerald to Anne Hathaway’s massive diamond necklace with a giant rectangular sapphire at the center, one glittering thread tied it all together at the MET Gala 2025– Bvlgari’s show-stopping soft launch of its Polychroma High Jewelry collection. It brought a kaleidoscope of color, craftsmanship, and charisma to the coveted carpet.

Marking a global premiere, Bvlgari unveiled its latest high jewelry chapter, Polychroma — a word that, like the jewels it describes, is layered with meaning. Rooted in the Greek terms poly (many) and chromia (colors), with a poetic wink to Rome, Polychroma is synonymous to a conversation in color, a universe where each gemstone speaks a language of its own. And this year, that language was fluently spoken by none other than global ambassadors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anne Hathaway, who debuted two of the collection’s crown jewels on the carpet, both instantly etching themselves into Met Gala history.

Anne Hathaway glowed in the Cosmic Vault Necklace, a stargazer’s dream set in architectural brilliance . At its heart lies a majestic 123.35-carat royal blue sugarloaf sapphire, surrounded by a symphony of gemstones: 331 buff-top sapphires totaling 26.91 carats, 30 pear-shaped diamonds weighing 16.49 carats, 98 round diamonds at 34.79 carats, 14 brilliant diamonds adding 18.63 carats, and 212 step-cut diamonds totaling 9.50 carats. The piece is completed with pavé-set diamonds contributing another 8.50 carats, making this necklace a breathtaking celebration of light, form, and rare beauty.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra Jonas stunned in the Magnus Emerald Necklace in platinum, which features a jaw-dropping 241.06-carat octagonal emerald at the heart, carré diamonds, buff-top emeralds, round diamonds, and pavé-set diamonds. What makes it iconic is the fact that it’s the largest faceted stone ever set by Bvlgari.

Zendaya also flaunted a High Jewelry Serpenti white gold brooch from the Polychroma range, set with two buff-top emeralds and 4.33 carats of pavé diamonds. She paired it with radiant Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond studs—2.03 and 2.02 carats respectively—and a platinum High Jewelry ring adorned with a 3.60-carat round diamond, step-cut accents, and over 3 carats of pavé-set brilliance.

With these rare creations, two of five from Bvlgari’s “Gallery of Wonders”, Polychroma cemented itself as a turning point in the world of high jewelry.
