As fresh snow covers the lofty Himalayas and other peaks around the world, there’s a certain breed of sports enthusiasts who jump (literally) with joy! With the mercury dipping to minus across many parts of the world, this is the best time to experience snow-covered terrains — and take a ski adventure. There is no luxury winter pastime quite like skiing, with crisp pistes or tracks, mountain views zooming past and indulgent après ski events. And the peak skiing season has officially begun. On until March, there is no time like the present to treat yourself to an active trip to push away the post-Christmas blues, or begin learning a new sport in 2023. These ski destinations go above and beyond when it comes to Alpine luxury.
